James and Rachel’s elegant spring wedding at St Marys church Andover, was one of my first weddings of 2016. Whilst choosing to tie the knot in the middle of spring might present your photographer with a few technical issues to overcome, the level of activity and excitement, shared by everyone at the wedding, meant that there was so much for me to photograph, and I enjoyed every second.

For once we were actually rather blessed with the weather, and the cold and wind held off meaning we managed to take the majority of our photos outdoors, the light was fantastic throughout the day lending to some excellent photography.

Bridal preparation took place at Rachel’s home, I’d visited a couple of weeks before the wedding, so I had a good idea of the shots I wanted to get, and just what a beautiful space St Marys would provide.

After the ceremony and formals we all made our way to Weyhill Fairground for tea and scones. After some quite emotional speeches it was time for the Hog Roast to take centre stage.

Because James and Rachel had chosen my Silver collection it meant that I was able to enjoy some of the evening’s entertainment before whisking myself away up the M3. If you’re planning a wedding at St Marys, or any other venues, I’d love to hear from you.

Congratulations James & Rachel, thanks for letting me tell your story!
