Today I want to share with you Kate and Justin’s story. I had the honor of documenting their wedding ceremony in Surrey late April, the 28th, at a fantastic venue. Kate and Justin chose St Peters Church, Chertsey, Surrey which dates back to the 13th Century as their venue. What a great choice! A good venue can make or break how a wedding is documented. I’m very fortunate as a wedding photographer in Surrey to have a parade of great couples and a wealth of beautiful venues for ceremonies.

As you can see from the images Kate and Justin’s day was one of joy and celebration. I always want to bring a sense of the sincerity of the moment to how I document any couple's wedding ceremony. On Kate and Justin’s big day the opportunities to capture both the overall sense of celebration of the day and those quieter moments of intimacy were all there. This is why I love to use a style that is more photo-journalistic.

Kate made a beautiful bride. This was her day, and it showed. These are the images that will be enduring. The details can make all the difference and there were plenty to help me in a making a full record of everything about this ceremony and celebration.

This was a climactic moment in the narrative of Kate and Justin’s journey. It was my responsibility to present it accurately. Every wedding ceremony is the culmination of a couple’s commitment to one another, an affirmation of their love, and a celebration of the future that lay. I think St Peters Church, as an example of steadfast endurance, makes a fitting backdrop for Kate and Justin.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Gorse Hill in Woking, Surrey. Receptions are the best. A good reception allows the attendants to relax, celebrate, and spend some quality time with the bride and groom after an emotion-filled day. Gorse Hill is a great looking place too! As a photographer, I know that the way the reception is documented is important to give an accurate feel for the entire day. My goal here is to provide the bride and groom with a record of how their friends and family celebrated with them, and how much fun everyone had.

If you are lucky enough to get married in Surrey, you can relax knowing you have fantastic opportunities for exactly the kind of ceremony you envision. If I’m lucky enough to be your choice for your Surrey wedding photographer, you can relax knowing documenting your day with sincerity and authenticity is my number one priority.
